Youth on the Move Web-Debate 17 September, Don't miss it!
'Youth on the Move' – one of the flagship initiatives in the Europe 2020 growth strategy, will be launched on 15 September 2010. It will propose a package of measures aimed at:
    * improving the job prospects of young people;
    *
making education and training more relevant to their needs;
    * raising awareness of EU mobility grants to study or train in another country, independent studies show this experience is highly rated by employers.

Commissioner Vassiliou will take part in a debate on Youth on the Move on 17 September, from 15:00 to 16:00. It will be web-streamed so that anyone with a PC can join in.

This is your chance to ask the Commissioner anything you like about EU policy on education, training and mobility. You can put your question in any of the official languages of the European Union.

More information on Youth on the Move will be posted here on the Commissioner's website from noon on 15 September. Tell her what you like – and what you don't like. Perhaps you have already been on an Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci or Comenius exchange. Would you recommend it to others? Should the EU be doing more to promote mobility?

If you have a PC you can:
        * follow the Youth on the Move debate online and put questions to the Commissioner in real time
          * submit questions in advance to EAC-YOM@ec.europa.eu . (This mailbox will close at 17:00 on September 16).
